Iowa is Corn, Potatoes is Idaho

Today I'm actually getting on a plane to go to Des Moines for my nephew's wedding, and then am out of town next week, so I'm preposting little posts as I'm completely overwhelmed at work. Aren't we all, right?! But please forgive me if I can't visit everyone's blog in the next week, as I'm going to be busy doing the two-step and the bunny hop with a lot of Nebraska farm types, oh, and playing lots of euchre. We are SERIOUS about our euchre in the Midwest.

I know, I know, I lead a charmed life.

Here's some 34th Street Gap from Thursday:

cowlneck shirt, $34, striped conductor jeans, $59.50

light rose long cardigan, $54

a little deconstructed top, $28

fitted purple pinstripe shirt w/bow tie, on sale for $29; limited edition jean shorts, $44.50

I'm really a tomboy at heart. Recognize the leather Chucks? And if you're wondering, if you tell people you're from Iowa, they always say "Potatoes, right?"

Gap, 60 W. 34th @6th

Hee hee, yes, euchre! I live in Michigan and I'm so used to people from out of town never having heard of euchre! Honestly though, I always forget how to play!

Have a good trip!

This post shows me two things:
1) I know little or nothing about Iowa;

2) I want to go shopping!

I hope you have fun on your trip and play lots of euchre

You really know how to make the Gap look viable. Now I might have to give them another chance.

Have a lovely trip xo
