It's Kira Plastinina Week!

This week, while I'm on vacation, you lucky readers will get 6 WHOLE DAYS of Kira Plastinina. Yes, the Russian retail mogulina that I talked about back in April, has landed on 34th Street and opened up this very pretty, pink store:

And here's the fab dressing room:

This girl's dressing rooms are so much nicer than my apartment. Note the pink. Kira likes pink so much she came up with her own called "kira pink." It may seem a little overwhelming if you are older than 16, but trust me, soon the pink settles into your brain and you are grabbing for sweatshirts like this:

It couldn't be cooler unless it was a real gang hoodie, something like the Pinkettes from Happy Days. We'll discuss Happy Days more later in the week (Pinky Tuscadero, anyone?)

Now, I am not exactly Kira's target audience. I'm significantly older than her desired clientele. But I was curious; is this a teen only store, or can the more mature shopper buy Kira too?

Answers later in the week. But I tried on a sampling of it all because of a special request from eep!ramblings. I'm not going to directly quote her, but let's just say she's interested in seeing me model the pink stuff.

If anyone else wants me to go to a store on 34th Street and act a fool, I am at your mercy. I get paid for this shit!

Kira Plastinina, 22 W. 34th Street between 5th & 6th

Seriously her party dresses are so cute and I could imagine buying one just to go out and wreck it in one night. Btw I have a giant mirror like the one in the dressing room that we painted PINK and hung sideways above our bed. It is seriously so awesome. Also, I don't talk about this much but that deep pink color is one of my favorites and I think I'm going to have to stop by the store in a few weeks..

Prunella - I've never been a girly pink girl either, but this store is so well done in pink it's hypnotic.
Jen - Kira is getting you to spill your secrets! Her pink is rich, and I'd love to see a picture of your pink mirror.
CC - Kira is a busy 16 year old. Another is opening at 42 & 5.
Wendy - yes! just nothing naked, I haven't waxed in ages.
Eeps! - uh oh, you said "Santa." if word gets out the decorations will be up before Halloween.
TOG - I didn't want to leave the dressing room!
Lipstick - I use that word a lot this week!

Yay for not waxing!!

I passed a Kira store on Robertson (in L.A.) but I was afraid to enter....the pinkness and sequins felt threatening at the time.

And yet I love Hello Kitty.

Oh My goodness MIss Fashion, that is a lot of pink indeed! And you know how we are with pink!

The sweatshirt looked pretty cool, I have to say that. I am completely fascinated by the whole Kira and her store thing, so this is great fodder.

Hope you're having a blast!
