I Love a Long Scarf

Once, a few years back, I was knitting a purse and got so frustrated with the pattern I ripped it out and turned it into a scarf. This scarf is really, really long. While knitting I got a little obsessed and if it wasn't for my man (who is waiting for his blue sweater which is currently a vest and destined for scarfdom), I could have pulled a Rapunzel from our 4th floor loft.

H&M must have similar issues:

How to wear ginormous scarf ($16.90)?
I'm 5'10 and it's almost on the floor! I love the color of this set and the big knit, but the scarf is already looking a little fuzzy. I'd just get the hat ($9.90).

Nice fringe, cable knit, and cute matching hat ($9.90, scarf is $24.90).
No fuzzy stuff here and this scarf-length is a bit more manageable.

I love all styles of scarves, but really long ones are great fun. However, wear with care. I almost took a header once running down subway stairs. Let us remember Gertrude Stein's remark about Isadora's Duncan's untimely death by scarf: "affectations can be dangerous." Thank-you, Wikipedia.

I was reading this thinking 'death by scarf', I'd be forced to wrap it around my head and get all Buffalo Girl...what's happening with H&M for the boys?

Huh, the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the picture was Isadora Duncan. It does look fetching on you but be careful.

Oh I love those scarves, seem so comfy and look great on you.

Thank you for your interess about my wish of a vest, but Zara don't sell online I guess :(

Take care sweetie.

Har. When I first took up knitting, it was ALL Dr. Who scarves ... but they can be a bit perilous to wear for the klutzy among us. Namely me.

Poor Isadora Duncan -- I bet some people ONLY know her for the scarf story these days.

My Dad told me the story about Isadora every time I wore a scarf and about Mckinley's daughter who died from a blister getting infected every time I had blister.

I do have a long orange scarf and a matching hat that I loved to wear on the coldest and grayest days.

Miss Fashion, we watched a movie when we were about 10 or 11 years of age and watched the Isadora Duncan accident happen right before our eyes 'in living color' on the tv in the family room! And the roadster they used was so cute!

But ever since then, Ms. Stein's cautionary phrase is one we live by!

However, *you* look cute in both of the scarves!

Besides, Isadora's was silk as I recall, and arguably one could forget they had it on. Kind of. Sorta'.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

I love long scarves because they are so deliciously endless...like a loop of plush.

that can be used as a blanket, well kind of. you're 5'10 and it touches the ground. that would def drown me, several times over. but they're beauties, if only they were shorter...

I really have no use for them but I love and want them both!

Death by scarf? How unfortunate.

A friend has one of their knit hats and there's constantly little ends sticking out--obviously not made from one piece of yarn but many.

The scarf is redonkulous.

Take a look at Tom Baker in his old Dr. Who days. He looped his scarf effectively.
