Roll Over and Tie Them Up

What's challenging for me now as I enter the 3rd trimester of pregnancy: tying shoes, lacing shoes, fastening shoes, and bending over to do all of the aforementioned. Thus the comfortable black slip-ons spotted in the photos below. I don't need to tell you how questionable "slip-ons" are for me, but some days I really, really need them.

#1 and #3 are Navid & Nadia ($59.95), in my now favorite neutral and grey tone with a slight hipster look. #2 is Bakers brand ($49.99): fun, surprisingly comfortable, and cleverly hides swollen ankles.

So what did dummy pick out at Bakers on 34th Street? All the laced, tie-up shoes. Which earned me several sympathetic and slightly horrified looks from fellow shoppers as I rolled back and forth on the Bakers couch trying to get them on. And still, I want to wear them all right now.

Your loving husband should be tying your shoes by now ;) This is my fantasy pregnancy-- that I shall be pampered and things like tying laces shall be covered by my husband or personal assistant. OK, back to reality...

Couture Carrie - Thanks so much! The sandals are v. cute, I love them too.
DS - He does tie my shoes when he's around, but I haven't been able to recruit a shoe-tier at work yet:)

Do you mean to tell us Christmastime isn't falling all over himself offering to do your shoes? Warm him he'll need to duck and cover when next The Consort is in town.

For shame.

I am sitting at work giggling picturing you rolling around in Bakers...And I also love that you are two months ahead of me to warn me of all the horrors to come!

Is it wrong that the image of you rolling around on the Bakers bench made me giggle? Just a little?

This one made me laugh! Awww. I would go for the more aesthetic shoe too over the practical choice... girls will be girls...

TP - Don't forget, it's "Xmastime," he's very touchy about that!:) Sadly, I've hardly seen Xmastime these past few months, we need a reunion video!
SKL - It does help to get a little preview of what's to come, right?!
Sal - Not wrong at all, I was embarrassed at first and then had to laugh at myself!
Erica - I think that all the time, and then sadly I have days I can't bear a heel:( I think I've got more of those to come.
