Fashion's Night Out on 34th Street

Photo from WWD.com.

Is this FNO thing gaining tons of steam or what? I'm very curious to read the recaps, because who can be everywhere from 6-11pm next Thursday, September 10th? But I'm happy to say there are some tempting events happening on 34th Street, so I should be able to run around for a few hours, then go home and elevate the feet. Here's the 34th Street listings (click the store links for full information and times), but be sure to visit Fashion's Night Out Website, Facebook, and/or Twitter for updates and more information.

Aldo, 27 W. 34th St. @ Fifth Ave. Kim Stoltz from ANTM Cycle 5 and current MTV news gal and VJ will host a walk-off contest at 9:30pm. Win a $500 gift certificate, and your shoe wardrobe should be set for fall. DJ Skeet Skeet spins from 6-11pm.

American Eagle Outfitters, 40 W. 34th St. between 5th & 6th.

Banana Republic, 17 W. 34th St. @ Fifth Ave. Enjoy cocktails, mix and mingle with Banana's personal stylists, and get a free mini-makeover. Special shopping incentives will be available, and 5% of sales will be donated to the Memorial Fund for September 11th.

Body Shop, Manhattan Mall, 33rd & 6th Ave. Get top tips on Fall make-up looks by their beauty experts. Donations will be raised for charities, and there will be special offers and a prize draw for the day. Update: thanks to Craig, I discovered Body Shop moved out of Manhattan Mall just last week. But all the other locations will be hosting FNO events.

Express, 7 W. 34th St. between 5th & 6th Aves. Meet the designers from the Express team for free wardrobe consultations from 6-8pm.

Fossil, 38 W. 34th St. between 5th & 6th Aves. Celebrate Fossil's 25th anniversary, enjoy 70's-era treats (hmm, like brownies maybe?:), and grab a free journal on your way out (while supplies last). And, get free watch engraving and a chance to win gift certificates and a John Lennon Limited Edition guitar.

Gap, 60 W. 34th St. @ Broadway. Shoppers will receive a 1969 limited-edition keepsake bag with purchase of jeans (while supplies last).

H&M, 1328 Broadway @ W. 34th St. Oooh, this is a good one. Get personal runway lessons from Miss J. Alexander of America's Next Top Model (I'm so there), and styling tips from H&M experts (7-10pm). Then strike a pose for the 'paparazzi,' and your style is shown from a spectacular billboard in the Meatpacking District. 5 seconds towards your 15 minutes of fame, check!

JCPenney, Manhattan Mall, 33rd & 6th Ave. Cindy Crawford is in-store to meet fans from 6-7pm. Get your makeup done by Sephora and then have your photo taken in a set styled with Cindy's new home line. Enjoy a DJ, light refreshments, and informal modeling of the retailer's exclusive brands (Charlotte Ronson, Nicole Miller, American Living, etc.).

Lane Bryant, 7 W. 34th St. @ Fifth Ave. Shopping incentives.

Loft, 35 W. 34th St. Style experts will show you how to work Fall's essential pieces. Enjoy exclusive shopping incentives, refreshments, and music.

Macy's Herald Square, 151 W. 34th St. between Broadway & 7th Ave. LOTS of fashion and makeover events starting at 6pm, including a personal appearance by Rachel Roy, Tommy Hilfiger hosting a performance by the Michael Fredo Jazz Trio, Michael Kors and Debra Messing launching the Very Hollywood Michael Kors fragrance at 7pm, and rising supermodel Arlenis Sosa at the Lancome counter from 6-7pm.

Old Navy, 150 W. 34th St.

Sephora Herald Square, 130 W. 34th St. between 6th & 7th Aves. Meet Too Faced makeup artist Arianne Damboise and let the Too Faced Artistry Team make you over. The first 100 clients of the day will get an eye-shadow duo during their consultations.

Sunglass Hut, 1313 Broadway @ Herald Square & 34th St., & Manhattan Mall, 33rd & 6th Ave.

Victoria's Secret, 1328 Broadway @ 34th St. Free panty with the purchase of a regularly priced bra.

See? What a night. I'll definitely be dropping by several stores, so give me a heads-up if you're around 34th Street. And don't forget your FNO T-shirt. They're in store now on 34th Street at Macy's Herald Square (2nd fl.), JCPenney, The Body Shop, Sephora Herald Square, and Victoria's Secret. The short-sleeved T is $30, and the long is $35. I'd get to one of these stores soon and pick it up, especially the long-sleeved one. On the FNO Facebook page, everyone seems to be clamoring for the long-sleeved T-shirt. 40% of T-shirt proceeds go to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

Also, if you're going to be in Bryant Park on Thursday, check out my post today on the Bryant Park blog. Get listings of stores around the park that will be participating in Fashion's Night Out, (be sure to check out Lord & Taylor's events, the BCBG in-store fashion show, and Payless at 5th & 39th, where you can pick up an FNO tote), and find Bryant Park stores where you can drop off donated clothing.

Make Do - agreed, if I was drinking. I'll drop by anyway :)
39th - I'm kind of ok with being restricted to 34th St. It's overwhelming, the events!
WendyB - I'm lasting as long as my feet hold out, which won't be long.
