New Website, New Blog Design

A really busy intersection in the 34th Street district

Our new 34th Street website launched a while back and the blog now has a new skin to go with it. We're feeling much more coordinated here. I'm very happy to have an updated Fashion Herald that has a proper home on 34thStreet.org (next week Fashion Herald will be totally redirected to the 34th Street website as we're not 100% coordinated yet).

Every once in a while I talk about what Fashion Herald does and why. Here I go again:

My name is Tricia Lewis and I work for the retail department of the 34th Street Partnership. Go here if you want to learn more about my company and urban management.

I write a blog about shopping on 34th Street in Midtown Manhattan. If you read Fashion Herald, you are reading about 34th Street stores, or some connection therein. I'm an advocate for our stores and for our shoppers, so I try to keep it nice but real. Yes, I'm looking for good things on our street, but if you subject me to shopping in August heat without air conditioning, or if you call it a Hairy Bolero, I will point it out (not to imply that hairy boleros are bad, I'm actually a big fan).

I post store news and sometimes news/events/sales information PR reps have sent me, but I try to do mostly original content. So you get a lot of me in stores, taking pictures of product. You also get fabulous Intern Craig covering events, tweeting fashion shows, and visiting stores.

Do I love 34th Street more than anything in life? Of course not, 34th Street is not Baby Herald (aka Arm Baby)! But I still love seeing the Empire State building when I'm returning to the city after being forced to exit for work or play. When I see the Empire State Building I know I'm looking at 34th Street and then I think about shopping. That's a good thing.

So if you have any questions about our company, or you are a store in the district, or you need to find really, really great black pants on 34th Street, please contact us. Fabulous Intern Craig and I will get right on it.
