34th Street #NYFW Picks: Where to Eat, Drink, and Lounge One Block from Moynihan

New York Fashion Week has begun its first season in Skylight Studios at Moynihan Station in the 34th Street District. To celebrate, we are featuring eats, drinks, and outdoor lounges (one with free wifi) in high-heeled walking distance (one block or less) to Moynihan.

   

Coffee with WiFi
Starbucks: South side of 34th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenue. Free wifi.
Roastown Coffee: 34th Street and Eighth Avenue, NE corner. Free wifi. Also, decent sushi for take-out or dining in.

Food - one block or less from Moynihan Station
Penn Plates: Pop-up food market at One Penn Plaza Park East, between 33rd Street and 34th Street in the plaza just west of Seventh Avenue. Great selection from oven-fresh pizza to paella and arepas.
Local West, Lucy's Cantina Royale: both are a block away from Moynihan, and both have great eats, drinks (frozen margaritas, anyone?), and rooftop decks with heaters for chilly fashion nights. One Penn Plaza at 34th and 33rd Street and Eighth Avenue 
Lobstercraft: Amazing lobster rolls, lobster bisque, craft beer and more. Limited seating inside but spacious outdoor seating. Treat yourself in between your crazy show schedule with one of the best lobster breaks in town. One Penn Plaza,  33rd Street entrance. between Eighth and Seventh Avenues

Plaza 33: Walk one block east on 33rd Street and hit up Plaza 33, an outdoor lounge with seating, free wifi, nearby eats, and programs. A great plaza to sit on the steps or tables, relax, and catch up on #nyfw posts. 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue
Farley Post Office steps: Sit and be seen on one of New York City's most dramatic entrances, the steps leading up to the Farley Post Office. Right around the corner from #nyfw on Eighth Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets.
