Forever 21: Polka Dots and Spring Fun

34th Street's Forever 21 has completed all their renovations, and the results are in: it is now way more fun and 1,000 times easier to shop. Particularly fun these days are their bright and happy spring displays tempting shoppers at every corner.

You can also enjoy an early '90's flashback with some polka dot babydoll dresses. Excuse me, but I was unable to resist donning polka-on-polka. After a good grunge reminiscence a la Contempo Casuals, I returned the dots back to the rack, along with the bikini from the table above. Yeah, I had to try it, but turns out Forever 21 bikinis don't make your body look forever twenty-one. There is, how shall I say, a greater need for sturdier elastic for girls of a certain age than the F21 bikinis provide?

Luckily there's a lot out on the tables and racks in this prettier Forever 21 to cheer a girl up after an unsuccessful bikini fitting.

Kmart's Route 66: Obsessed

Route 66 has the best, lightweight cargo jacket for spring on the block, and it's $29.99 (before discount). And it has neon pink piping on the zipper. Need I say more? The striped jacket below is Attention, but the T is Route 66. I'm a little obsessed with some Attention pieces, also. Kmart is killing it for spring.

Bonus: all the Route 66 is now 30% off. That's 30% off their adorable T-shirts (regularly $14.99). I cannot pass on their denim shirt, so basic, but so perfect. The cut is awesome, people and the price is great (now $13.99).

Forever I've been thinking I need a basic black mini to wear in the winter with leggings, and in the summer as a beach cover up, etc. Voila, the Route 66 pull-on black cotton mini for $9.99 (reg. price), below. Get the crochet top for a spring/summer layering item, comes in black, too.

Mango Spring

I love how Mango is classy but fun for spring. I think they've nailed the more feminine (yes, "lady-like") look that's been dominating runways, while keeping it more lively and less prim. See: lace top below. Perfection.

Remember my obsession with the leopard print wedge bootie last season? [I should have bought everything in that post] We can now replace that with the pointy-toe patent wedge.

Or its white counterpart.

Skirts Today, and Blouses Too

Impressed by these H&M skirts, black $34.90, yellow print $24.90:

Aren't these lightweight, flowery blouses charming (flowers $14.90, green $12.90, & front-tie $24.90)?

Annnd, is it a long tank, or is it a dress? Depends on your height. And although they're horizontal, those stripes are lovable ($19.90).
