Mango 34th Street: Select Picks for Fall

Things I really love about Mango: their jackets, their boots, their blouses, and the fact that they hang really cute ensembles at the front of a display rack, and behind it, on the same rack, are all the elements of the really cute ensemble. Almost all combinations below are such ensembles. 

I was iffy on the red, quilted bomber ($89.99) until I tried it on. Great piece. The gray coat ($189.99) speaks for its own fabulous self. Boots are $109.99 and I must have them. They are a perfect neutral ankle boot.

Mango on 34th Street: A Business Look

Usually, when looking for cute but slightly conservative-skewing business attire, I hit up Zara on 34th Street. But last week I tried on these at Mango:

Totally summer board meeting worthy, right? I know it's hard, but please ignore the wrinkles. These pants are 100% pretty in person.

Top $39.99, pants $59.99.

Occasionally, these pants can look like a skirt. But I promise, it's not annoying like "UGH I wish these clever pants would stop being a skirt." Instead one feels very elegant wearing them, even in the dressing room with wrinkles.

Shoes on sale for $34.99.

These pants are long (although not enough on me, but I have a very long inseam and they were slightly small on me). Look for these super high wedges on the shoe sale rack.

Pre-Fall in Mango 34th Street

I love the first signs of fall in stores: the smattering of light sweaters, the return of jodhpur-like leggings, and the irresistible leather dresses.

Shoes are also Mango, on sale.

 Why I love Mango: they know we can't resist a perfect leather and suede shift in July. Mango girls don't care about the stupid weather, duh.

But if you're not quite there yet, the above, more July-friendly items can be found next to the leather dresses in the front of the store.  I'll never own enough stripes and perfect jumpsuits. I'd also wear these into fall with a sweater and leggings (actually, you'll be hard-pressed to catch me in shorts anymore, but I wanted to show Mango's cute black cutoffs. Short, but not obscenely short).

In addition to pre-fall, you're going to see a lot of dresses, tops, blouses, and pants on sale for up to 70% off. There's a huge and tempting selection of sale items at the 34th Street store, so you're going to be hard-pressed to walk away empty-handed.
