Orva Shoes: On the Move at 34th Street

There have been signs of this in the past, but now it's official: Orva Shoes has moved from their space at 34 West 34th Street. But no fear, Orva fans, as they are coming soon to 1282 Broadway at 33rd Street.

Speaking of signs, Orva is on it with information about its move. See you soon around the corner on Broadway, Orva Shoes!

Updated to add: We just heard that Journeys is moving into the old Orva space at 34 West 34th Street. Journeys previously was in Herald Center, so we are happy they've found a new home in the 34th Street district.

Winter Boots On Sale Now At Orva

Orva Shoes is closing soon on 34th Street, and everything's on sale for 30% - 50% off, including brands like Dr. Martens, Timberland, Dansko, Birkenstock, Merrell, and Hunter boots.

I picked up a pair of Sorel boots for 50% off. I am so set for winter. If only they had the toddler version the whole family would be good to go, as I got my husband a similar pair of Sorels at Famous Footwear the end of last season.

Sorel boots similar to the ones I bought for 1/2 off.
I really wanted the Joan of Arctic's but none were available in my size.

Go soon, sizes are dwindling fast!

Closing: Orva Shoes on 34th Street

There's going to be a new retail space available at 34 West 34th Street, as Orva Shoes is moving out.

What once was Le Chateau became Orva Shoes around November 2010. What will it be next? Fingers crossed it's something really good. I wouldn't mind something apparel-good, as we're feeling shoe-heavy on the street (don't forget, Vince Camuto is coming next door). But who doesn't want another shoe store?! Of course, this isn't a huge space like the now-vacated Esprit store across the street...

...which is three levels. It's amazing, you think everything is quiet on one of the city's hottest retail strips then boom, we're back to speculating and retail dreaming.

But back to the Orva closing: currently the store is 20% - 50% off, excluding some brands like Hunter and Frye. Here's a sample of current discounts:

Earthies at Orva

Oh these Earthies are pretty shoes.

Spotted at Orva Shoes on 34th Street. Click here for better pictures of the above, because my iPhone pics do not do justice to the gorgeous reds. I pick the Monaco, the Riviera, the Tropez, and the Veria. I haven't tried these on yet, but they should be beyond comfortable because that's the whole thing about Earth shoes, the Earthies mother brand. "Earthy," "earthies," I know, I think granola shoes too but Birkenstocks these are not. Earthies just work hard to keep you elevated and your feet well.
