Are your shopping bags getting in the way of your shopping? I can't tell you how many times I've been schlepping bags through 34th Street, arms weighed down, and thought "I'd love to go to Macy's/Victoria's Secret/H&M, but I can't carry another bag for one more block." Say Hi to a brilliant new delivery service, Hobson.
Same-day delivery of your purchases to hotels and residences in Manhattan? You just heard a big sigh of relief across the city. If you didn't watch the video above, here's a brief breakdown: You shop in a participating store, you LEAVE YOUR PURCHASES in a special Hobson bag that laughs in the face of rain and other elements, except maybe Kryptonite, and la la la, you continue shopping with your arms bag-free. I couldn't resist the Superman reference because really, being able to leave your shopping bags behind is like having Superman swoop in and fly you from store to store, right?! Total luxury for only $9.50 per entire purchase at one store (up to $2,500, see Hobson for more details).
We all know JCPenney is going through a tough transition. But when I shopped there the other week, I was the most excited I think I've ever been about the offerings on the floor. Yesterday it was shorts. Today, it's the dresses.
I also need to give the L'Amour by Nanette Lepore junior line a big call-out. This is so cute this season, a big improvement, I thought, from last season and a must-see for girls of all ages because WHO can resist this dress for summer?!
JCPenney Manhattan Mall, 33rd Street and Sixth Avenue
I didn't try on a bad pair of shorts at JCPenney last week. And I'm not really much of a shorts girl unless I'm in the midst of a July/August heatwave. Here's three totally different looks for you this summer.
There's a 48 hour sale going on right now, ends tomorrow. Get 30% off your purchase in-store. Time to stock up on swim separates and lightweight summer dresses (both below $29.94 before sale)! 150 West 34th Street between Broadway & 7th Avenue

Bryant Park Shop
We recently put some merchandise from our sister company's online shop in the park, and you can get most of it for less when you buy from our cart! Look for the Games Cart across from the carousel on the 40th Street side of the park where you can buy kid's and baby T's, Bryant Park water bottles, totes, and even a coloring book! While you're there, you can also bury your friend in a friendly game of Bananagrams. Enjoy! Bryant Park, 40th Street entrance between Fifth and Sixth Avenues
I'm on a BIG Bikram Yoga Herald Square high right now (as a friend said "it's addictive"), but I know Bikram isn't for everyone. If you put that bikini on last weekend and shook your head in the mirror, and are looking for a more traditional workout, you should check out the open house this Sunday at Curves on 34th Street.
Here please insert that insufferable Dora the Explorer theme song excerpt: "Can we do it? YES WE CAN!" Annoying, but I don't think it's getting out of my head anytime soon.
See you at Curves this Sunday!
