Joe Fresh: Open Again on 34th Street

Guess what? Joe Fresh is back in business on 34th Street.

When I stopped by this morning, they weren't yet open for business, but a quick peek inside revealed a bigger and prettier layout. I can't wait to shop, try on some clothes in their new dressing rooms, and take advantage of those opening day $5 deals, good from now through Sunday.

Welcome back to 34th Street, Joe Fresh, we've really missed you!

ZARA Now Open on 34th Street!

The angels are singing, shoppers are rejoicing, life is complete. Zara has re-opened on 34th Street.

The first floor is now totally dedicated to us girls; on the new lower level you'll find men and kids. During a quick walk-through today I saw about 20 things for my Santa wish list. It's a gorgeous store with a gorgeous selection of apparel, shoes, and boots. Zara just does it better than most, don't they?

Happy Thanksgiving to all! And don't forget our Black Friday post for your shopping needs (Zara has 50% off select items).

The New Victoria's Secret Herald Square

The Victoria's Secret Herald Square flagship officially re-opened today, and it's beautiful. Welcome back to Herald Square, Victoria's Secret. Your makeover is a gorgeous retail homage to lingerie.

Perhaps the biggest story here, besides the obvious lingerie-mecca angle, is in the beauty departments. Each floor has a beauty boutique (first floor cosmetics, body on lower level, and more on two), and the real estate at the entrance on the main floor is all about fragrance. But let's take a little tour:

Pink has its own entrance on 34th Street (above, right). Go to the lower level and enter the Pink world of merchandise. You'll also find the Sport collection and Body by Victoria beauty products.

The main floor is fragrance, cosmetics, and what looks to be more of the collection and high-end lingerie. Here you'll also find the Angel costume displays.

Upstairs is bra and panty land, with a floor full of basics and more. There's also a display of New York City-branded Victoria's Secret merchandise.

On your way up and down the escalators from one to two, you'll view photos of Angels, and at the bottom of the escalators is a huge video screen. Videos are displayed throughout the store, but this one is truly impressive. You're going to see a lot of the Angels at Herald Square.

The store was packed today with shoppers, staff, and tourists taking photos in front of VS displays. Yes, I think Herald Square has another retail tourist destination! With the new Gap, the renovation of Macy's Herald Square, and the new Victoria's Secret, almost all four corners of Herald Square will be shiny new. Perhaps Herald Center on the southwest corner will be next? Hmmm...

34th Street Weekend Sale Pick: The New Gap Herald Square

The renovations are done, the store is open, and the registers will be ringing, because the new Gap Herald Square looks great and is easy to shop.

The woman's section is now on the main floor, with registers against the wall on the Broadway side. The dressing rooms are ample and decorated with vintage Gap photos and ads.

GapKids, BabyGap, Maternity, and Mens are all on the lower level, which is as big as ever but sectioned off into smaller and more shopable boutique-like areas.

Outside the store, at the boulevards by Herald and Greeley Square Parks, you'll also find Gap on the umbrellas, tables, and chairs, and on the free wifi available at the parks. Yes, Gap has sponsored not just the plazas for the Herald Square re-opening, but also the wifi!

Also, today and tomorrow, from noon - 4pm, Gap will be out at the tips of Herald and Greeley, handing out totes and 20% off coupons. I would use mine on the below:

Clu and LP Linea Pelle at Gap Herald Square.

All the tops are from the Gap + Clu collection, except the plaid jacket. The jean leggings, that fit perfectly, are 1969. All 1969 jeans are on sale this weekend in-store: buy one get one for 50% off.

(Disclosure: I work for the company that worked on the Herald & Greeley sponsorship with Gap)

H&M's 34th Street Grand Re-Opening

What?
Yesterday was the showroom, and today it's a grand re-opening. H&M's 34th Street Penn Station store has been getting a makeover for the past six months, and now she's all pretty and ready for a party.

Why do you care?
Starting tomorrow, the 20th, through Sunday, the 23rd, the first 300 shoppers in line each day will get an Access to Fashion gift pass worth anywhere from $10-$500, as well as giveaways and in-store offers. And tomorrow morning the winner of the $500 gift card will also get early access to the store for a half hour before the opening. This is like my dream promotion, and H&M totally gets it. Who doesn't want first pick and zero dressing room lines?!

Why I Love H&M: I'm almost always wearing something H&M. Here's My Joey Ramone Look from back in August, featuring H&M cropped jacket and skinny jeans.

H&M 34th Street Grand Re-Opening Party
Kicks off at 9am tomorrow morning at 435 Seventh Avenue & 34th Street
