Custo Barcelona Spring 2014

Custo Barcelona wove strong geometric patterns, shimmering metallics, and delicate transparencies into his looks for Spring 2014. Innerwear and swimwear were paired with heavier pieces, and were gently revealed to showcase the intricacy of Barcelona’s designs.

My eye was pulled most to the runway’s outerwear which had dynamic coloring, seamlessly integrated patterns, and flattering cuts. Each was a showstopper in their own right.

Custo has inspired me to up-the-ante with my style this spring, to spice up each look instead of relying on white button downs and black pencil skirts. When in doubt, I’ll throw in a gold visor for good measure.
