Banana's 40-Off Pants

I was impressed with this little sale:

I like Banana's pants. There's a variety of shapes and certain styles are long enough for me. They are also better quality and fabric than most other chains. This sale is select styles only, and unfortunately I don't think jeans qualify as pants, but maybe these classic cords do:
The 40-off pants is in-store only, but luckily Banana is also having a big fall sale, with up to 60% off select items. So drop by the big Banana on 34th Street and check it out. And don't miss the Old Navy $14.92 sale. Actually, I think you'll be hard-pressed to enter any store on 34th Street and not find a sale. Retailers are responding early this season due to these trying economic times.

For a little accessories break, drop by the new Fossil store on 34th Street:

I've never shopped Fossil before, anyone? This isn't their biggest store, thank god. The atmosphere is intimate and soothing. I wanted to browse in there for hours. I was naturally drawn to their vintage-inspired Fifty Four Collection, shown in the window. Here's some online pics of some of my favorite Fifty Four bags:

The Ava domed satchel, $335, the Julianne clutch (love!), $125, and the Ava crossbody, $235.

And don't forget to stop by the Props for Today sale on Saturday from 10a - 6pm. They aren't open on Sunday, but the sale resumes Monday and Tuesday from noon - 6pm.

Enjoy your weekend.

Banana Republic, 17 W. 34th between 5th & 6th
Old Navy, 150 W. 34th between Broadway & 7th
Fossil, 38 W. 34th between 5th & 6th
Props for Today, 330 W. 34th, 14th floor in Penn Station

Seems that retailers are making many "sales off".
Humm... pity that I can't grab these.

I've been in the Fossil stores, but never bought anything. I think the bags are well-designed, and very affordable.

For a while I got really into wearing very preppy stuff from JCrew and Banana Republic, and even though the stuff was all classic and beautiful, it soon became apparent that I was trying to cope with the pressures around me by dressing more "grown up," when it really wasn't me. So the khakis went into storage.

But then I started helping my boyfriend shop for his clothes, and he works that look SO WELL. And lo-and-behold, I found myself bewitched by BR's clean, impeccable stuff once again. So who knows, maybe someday the khakis will come out!

It seems like you read my mind, sister. I never thought Fossil as a fashionable brand. The other day i went to the one and only city store and I was blown away. I specially liked their clutches just like the one your posted. Yummy.
