The event kicks off 3:00pm Thursday, July 23rd with 30 Rock Star Katrina Bowden at Daffy's SoHo store. She'll do a fan meet-and-greet and demonstrate the video entry process. Yes, Daffy's needs you to tell them on a 30-second video why you deserve to win The Daffy's Apartment, so you get to indulge your exhibitionist side, too.

• Contest runs through August 14th.
• Five finalists will be chosen by Daffy's and their videos will be voted on by the public at Daffy's.com from September 7 through September 16.
• Winner will be announced by October 1, when he or she is expected to move in to the luxury apartment.

During the contest period, Daffy's will also open a temporary pop-up store on the ground level of The Daffy's Apartment building (One Seventh Avenue South). Whoa, could this be the best Manhattan summer deal/promotion yet? Speaking of deals, also look for the launch of the Truck Tracker on Daffy's website July 23rd. You'll be able to find out when the trucks are unloading new merchandise at your favorite Daffy's. Which means yes, I'll be stalking the Herald Square trucks.
