Skivvies Day

More Victoria's Secret skivvies, prepping for ye olde Valentine's Day. All are from the Sexy Little Things VS line, a reasonably priced and very fun little collection.

The double bow whammy, a little bow on top and a little bow on the backside ($42 for the set).

Note cute retro styling (top $42, boy shorts $26).

For your sports fan. I call this the baseball set because of the pinstripes. There's the bra ($38), matching robe ($58), and boy shorts with garters attached ($24). Garters win every time.

But instead of calling it a Hallmark holiday, let's call it what grown up girls really want it to be: Expensive Lingerie Day. Past high school, do we really care about cards and candy? No. I can get a candy bar at my bodega down the street. And if I wanted something botanical in my apartment it would be a fabulous, exotic plant, not roses that will die in a few days.

Speaking of fabulous, did anyone else last night hear NBC announcer Al Michaels yell during the Superbowl, "That was a FABULOUS catch for Holmes!" I almost fell off the couch into my fabulous, homemade chile con queso dip. Oh, how I love Al Michaels and John Madden.

You brave soul. I cannot fathom modeling VS gear for my blog under any circumstances - but hot damn, you look great!

And despite my lifelong indifference to baseball, the pinstriped set is my fave.

Garters do indeed win every time-- they're almost like kryptonite for us; guaranteed to render you the Delilah to our Sampson (reference our being tied to a chair and other various bondage scenarios).

The bow thing, not so much. I'm all about function-- no vestigal accoutrement please!

Woah love the first black set with the bow. And is it odd that I have not even got the first idea about Superbowl and can't name a single famous player? Haha I guess it's all like rugby but with pads and helmets. And it was odd, yesterday the whole city just ground to a halt, even today most places are shut...after only several inches of snow!
