What's Happening?

Time for a little 34th Street sales & news update:

  • Visit a brand new Tourneau sale at Soiffer Haskin this weekend. Usually Tourneau only has one of these a year in September, so take this opportunity to pick up a luxury watch for the new year. Shop early as this sale is heavily attended. All brands sold at Tourneau will be featured except for Patek Phillippe and Rolex. Click or print the image below for more information.

  • National Wear Red Day is this Friday, February 6th, but Macy's Wear Red Sale begins today. Get an extra 20% off most regular, sale and clearance purchases when you wear red. Or purchase a Red Dress pin for $2 at any register and get the extra savings. Macy's will donate all Red Dress pin proceeds to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement. Sale ends February 8th.
  • Remember how Florsheim Shoes used to be in the space just north of Herald Square at 1350 Broadway? Well, late this spring guess what's opening up there? Yes, Sovereign Bank. Well it's no Topshop but it is my bank so I will be hitting up their ATM.
  • I received an email yesterday asking about Square One Shoes in Manhattan Mall, where "everything was dirt cheap and you could find an okay shoe for the quality - great for the price...$15 and under." I couldn't say it better than my emailer. Square One had every style imaginable for pittances. However, due to JCPenney construction Square One has been closed. Late March or early April the store will reopen on Level 2. Go here for the Manhattan Mall directory which is diligently and regularly updated.

More 34th Street retail news to come as soon as I'm allowed to share!

oh, Natanya, we need to get a drink! really, I considered posting something on this, but the story in the papers is pretty accurate. they considered other spots, but Lincoln Center seemed to be the only option - this is a tough event to host as it's very big.

I think I will declare today "Wear Mismatched Socks Day", so I will be stylish instead of too lazy to do laundry.

Thanks for the reminder on the Wear Red Day... that will be the order of the day here at the Prepatorium. (And you thought we didn't have a dress code, yep, you did.)

BTW, is the move of the tents a goodly thing? Had you guys been pushing for that? (not necessarily you Miss Herald... )

Hope so, because we want the Herald to be happy.
