It's Pretty Irish on 34th Street

Update: pics of 34th Street District Irish pubs & restaurants, Foley's, left, and Stout.

There's no lack of Irish bars in Midtown Manhattan, but on St Patrick's Day there can never be too many Irish pubs. Here's a list of ours in the 34th Street district for your St. Patrick's Day fun (note that many will feature live music):

Blarney Rock Pub (unpretentious dive-y pub)
137 W. 33rd Street between 6th & 7th

Brendan's Bar & Grill
42 W. 35th Street between 5th & Broadway

Foley's New York Bar & Restaurant (aka "The bar that banned Danny Boy")
18 W. 33rd Street between 5th & Broadway

Harrington's Bar & Grill
370 7th Avenue (Seven Penn Plaza, between 30th & 31st)

Hickey's Bar (old-man Irish bar, which makes it a pick)
139 W. 33rd Street between 6th &7th

The Irish Times
254 W. 31st Street at 8th Avenue

Jack Demsey's Restaurant
(live Irish music, steppers, and bagpipers)
36 W. 33rd Street between 5th & Broadway

Legends (live music all day)
6 W. 33rd Street between 5th & Broadway

Stout Restaurant & Bar(live music)
133 W. 33rd Street between 6th & 7th

Tir na nOg Irish Bar & Grill (live traditional Irish music, noon to midnight)

What, just cause we're a shopping blog we can't tell you where to wet your whistle after shopping 34th Street on St. Paddy's Day? And you know where you can go to get your St Patrick's Day T-shirts. Please, I'm 100% from the Emerald Isle and that hardly offends me. I'm more offended by the whole concept of holiday T-shirts! Cheers, and enjoy your Guinness tomorrow night!

St. Patrick's Day is definitely not my favorite holiday. Too many mean drunks on the street!
