Hervé Léger by Max Azria Fall '12

Below, Sarah covers the most recent Herve Leger show.

Hervé Léger's fall '12 show was the most crowded I've ever attended, which is not surprising considering how the brand appeals to both Hollywood celebs and high society mavens.

This season, Léger's signature bandage dresses serve less as a statement dress and more as a showpiece for tough accessories. Harnesses, fur shrugs, even some fringe and leather pleating were Max Azria's adornment for fall.

The colours were muted except for the prominent use of red. The red patterned dress (top, right) was evocative of a painting I recently viewed at Lee Ufan's recent exhibition at the Guggenheim, "From Line."

The Léger runway was U-shaped, and as always, good for celebrity-spotting. I spotted some of my favorite bloggers in the front rows, including Rumi of Fashion Toast, who serves as one of Azria's muses. Rarely does Mr. Azria disappoint!
