Below Sarah discusses her experience at IFBCon.
In the past five years, fashion blogging has became hugely popular, as evidenced by the lack of seats at Milk Studios when I arrived bright and early for the 2012 Independent Fashion Blogger's Conference. The sessions were informative and useful, and I truly learned a lot from those who spoke on the panels. I saw a handful of my favorite bloggers, and of course, was not suprised to see Bryanboy wear his sunglasses indoors the entire time.
My favorite session was the first: "What Bloggers are Worth." I loved the advice from Kat of Corporette, who told the crowd that bloggers provide a service to their advertising partners and should not sell themselves short.
J Brand had set up a pop up boutique with their new Ready-To-Wear collection, and invited bloggers to try on the pieces to win the collection. I really loved their simple yet edgy lines.
Were you at IFBCon 2012? What were your favorite panels?
