David Tlale Fall 2013

David Tlale presented his fall collection, titled Decadence, with an appreciation of old-school glamour and opulence. His strength relies on his ability to transform the beauty of the past into modern day. Gowns in rich tones of gold and deep red, with brocade patterns and intricate beading, delivered the essence of regal elegance.

This gorgeous ombre tulle tail is truly a piece of art. It is constructed beautifully and paired with the perfect neckline. This look would have been a 10 in my book if it wasn't for the harsh necklace, somewhat awkwardly tucked into the dress.

Also noteworthy was his sculpted jacket with voluminous shoulders and a super chic bronze brocade coat. Improvements could be made in the styling, though, as the black bag downgraded the overall look.

Long leather gloves, elegant silk blouses, and brocade pants all stem from a traditional and classic aesthetic. Fine tailoring complimented the figure and made these separates must-have pieces for Fall 2013.
